My aunt said something to me today. I had the laptop on and a game loaded up while i was revising bio, and i was just about to take a break when she came back from work. She saw the game and said bluntly to me, "Boy, are you addicted to computer games? I think you are," and then some crap about how hundreds of people are warded into hospitals for comp game addiction.

I know too much of a good thing can be bad, and how addiction can reduce the best of us to spastic balls of irritability, and anger, and how the common perception of comp games has been that it's a way of escape and too much of it makes people do drive-by shootings and school killings and such.

But still what do ppl expect me to do at home? Mug all day? Chat on the phone with friends? Would be nice if i had a sibling to at least argue with, but haha you can't have everything. So yup i'm not afraid to admit that my passion is for video games (and shooting of course haha thats why i joined shooting in the first place.) But i like to think that i know when to stop, and where to draw the line between reality and fantasy. I keep my grades up, I have my own social circle, I still find time to engage in meaningful things. Why can't i play games? I can't recall the number of times i've heard people say "Comp games are childish. Grow up". Harlo, the average age of a gamer is 26 and rising. Who the hell are you?

And that was a really hurtful thing to hear, coming from my aunt. I always thought she was the only one in the household who ever respected my privacy and left me alone to my own devices. I think i'm the sort of guy who can put up with rubbish and insults from just about everyone, but hearing a family member put you down like you were the most fei person in the world with totally no future and no potential just sucks. No words to describe it, but it just sucks. To even assume that just because i had the game on means that i did nothing but play all day, it's belittling and it's painful. And i can't and won't ever talk back because thats me, i soak up all the shit people can throw.

But just because i don't say anything doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. I'm only human.

2 down. 3 more to go. 3 more content based subjects to be precise. In my opinion it went quite well so far, but I don't think I can say the same for the next 2 subjects. Back to Maths. And maybe a bit of chem.

Recount of p**m*s survivor Chris: Just in case i dont make it till the end of the week. Writing this for posterity. (:

Day1
Always good to start off fresh and energized, and comon its GP; if you screw it up it probably doesnt bode well for the rest of your subjects XP I think i was the only retard in my class who did the first qs on counter terrorism lor. Dunno why everyone else picked qs 9, 10 and 12 (easy way out? (:). lol hopefully i didnt mess the essay up. Rmb last time in RI i wrote an essay on globalization for my EOY exams, and it was singled out by the teachers for being A for "Atrocious", B for "BOMBastic" and C for "Confused" @_@. They even read it out in front of the whole GEP cohort. freaking embarrassed. I hate RI eng dept.

Oh wellz hope that doesnt happen again. And its time to leave GP behind for econs whee. More essays >> Rawr was studying in my room today when the aircon started dripping water on my table. Tot meh just a few drops. Then suddenly the air con went all rambo on my a$$ and leaked water all over my table. All my notes and cables nearly ruined. Lucky i had moved my laptop out of the way, if not i'd be blogging on a piece of paper now XD.

1 down, 4 to go!

Day 2

Whew that was tough. Writing 2 essays and a case study in 2h 30 min. No bs no time to rest. Hahah ppl say RJ students are like the smartest of the lot, but its surprising how ppl like me are so retarded that they dont even know how to poke a hole through the cover page. Just sit there looking stunned waiting for Lagman to scold. XP

2 down, 3 to go!

Day 3

I'm beginning to get the feeling that the promos paper was dumbed down for ppl like me, esp after math. It's almost as if they... want us to pass... so we can... get promoted or smth. LOL. Actually this was the only paper i actually felt like i could ace. Had 45 mins before the end to twiddle my thumbs, look at what ppl were doing (not at what they were writing mind you XD) and check through. All in all, pretty confident in passing math. But tml's the killer! Chem!! Run home to mug.

Day 4

Zomgg Chem is over and done with! I tell you this was the hardest paper of the 4 i've done so far. 3 hours long just like math except there wasnt any time to check, just to frantically try and answer the last question. 3 questions to choose 2 from and i wisely avoided the stoichio, coz with the standard of my math, i'd be surprised if i even got past the 1st subqs. Still tho, got that feeling i'm not going to do so well. But haha i tried i tried! Really! LOL parents cant blame me if i screw up.

1 more! BIO! the zisha subject. Notes are 4 inches thick and i havent even started yet! 4 days to piah can i make it? the amazing race is on. Who part of my brain will be eliminated NEXT.

Still getting distracted by so many other things. After trying out that chem revision test, I realised how much I HAVEN'T mug. Sheesh. Only 16... 4 days per subject, excluding GP and H3... When school reopens homework will start pouring in. I wonder how I am going to find the time to study...
