Going back to school after prelims, everything feels rather refreshing. Same people, but I think after so many weeks of separation everyone's just eager to get reacquainted again. Or maybe it's the realization that we don't have much time left to spend together that's making everyone treasure their time together more.
Got back the last of my grades today. ABBBBA, which is I guess rather good but definitely not something I'd wanna get for A's. If I were still the person I was a few years back, I'd be fervently comparing my grades with my classmates'. GEP mentality I guess, needing reaffirmation of your ability to pwn others in some subject, but I think that I've learnt to be more content with the results I have and compare them with my results in the past rather than that of others.
Some people really let grades get to their heads, getting demoralized when their grades don't meet their expectations. And it's not because of what they fear their A's will turn out to be, but the grade itself. Of course its natural to feel depressed for a while, but I think that it's important to visualize the big picture too, and see prelims for what they really are: A natural step to solidifying your knowledge for A's.
Only 1 month left to go!
